[C] Warning

After I stormed off from the visitor’s area, I realized that I didn’t have anywhere where I could go to be alone. The closest thing to being alone that I could get was going to the library, since most of the people in here tend to avoid it. And right now, I really preferred to be alone. Mai’s session put me in a very, very foul mood. If anyone even so much as look at me the wrong way, I cannot guarantee that I’ll restrain myself.

“Aww, little talk with your girlfriend didn’t go well?” A brunette who went by ‘Jin’ approached me, along with two of her lackeys.

Of course, someone had to hunt me down and test my patience.

“Fuck off,” I spat, trying to ignore her presence by flipping the page of my book to pretend I’m reading.

One of her lackeys stepped up and snatched the book away from me, successfully capturing my attention. My very angry attention.

“Nah, I think you need to show Jin some respect when she’s talking to you.”

“I want my book back,” I replied, slowly rising from my seat to look at her evenly. “Now.”

“Look at this bitch. She thinks she’s so tough,” Jin laughed.

I grabbed the brunette by the head and slammed her down onto the wooden desk. As soon as her lackeys realized what happened, they made a move to grab me, but before they could do any more damage, the correctional officers arrived to the scene.

“What happened?” one of the officers demanded, looking straight at me.

“Nothing,” I replied.

“Doesn’t look like nothing. How’d she hit her head on the table?” he nodded at Jin, who was sporting a very red mark on her forehead.

“I don’t know. She slipped or something,” I shrugged.

“Yeah,” she confirmed the lie. “I just slipped. She was reading here, so I think it surprised her that I suddenly hit my head next to her reading.”

The officers eyed us both suspiciously, but since neither of us would admit to a fight breaking out and there was no evidence of an actual fight, they left us. When they did, I took the opportunity to yank my book back into my possession and left the library. I could feel the three of them tailing me, so I deliberately headed towards a secluded area where I could take care of business without getting caught.

When I rounded the last corner and entered an old storage room, I made it a point to acquaint myself with the surroundings as I waited for their arrival.

“Took you long enough,” I announced when they walked through the door. “Did you get lost?”

“Awfully stupid of ya to lead us all the way here, away from the officer’s protection.”

I smirked. I found it funny that these bitches thought I needed anyone’s protection from them. “You have no idea how I landed in here, do you?”

“Never cared to find out,” Jin stepped forward, revealing a wooden stick that looked somewhat like the broken handle of a broom.

“I landed a couple of men in the hospital... in critical condition,” I answered as I cracked my knuckles. “They tried me for attempted murder, but since I claimed self-defense, they reduced my sentence. I did, after all, beat them bloody.”

This seemed to have shook them all, but I could tell Jin was trying to play it cool when she didn’t back down. “So ya beat a couple of geezers. Big deal.”

She swung first. Her lackeys tried to get a hold of me so that their leader could land a hit on me, but this was a joke. They didn’t know how to fight. They didn’t even know the basics. They just acted like they did so that they could run around this place like they’re the shit. It literally took two punches each to floor them. Once I knocked Jin’s weapon out of her hands, she was just as easy of a target as her two friends. The same exact two friends who were grovelling on the floor in pain.

“You’ve got to be kidding me. This didn’t even take effort,” I taunted as they stayed put. “I’m tired of your shit, so consider this a warning. If any of you so much as look at me again, I will end you.”
