[OM] Release Your Inner Animal

“Alright there, Blakey,” Yang exhaled as she slowly opened the door to her apartment, hoping that she remembered not to leave anything lying on the ground that could potentially trip her and cause her to tumble to the floor. Which consequently, would mean Blake would tumble with her.

She carefully stepped around the objects that she could faintly see the outline for, expertly maneuvering around the all random junk she had in her living room and dining room area. When she reached her bedroom, she slowly let Blake down onto her unkempt bed, making sure to push the blanket out of the way before letting Blake occupy the space.

“Sleep tight, kitten,” Yang whispered as she grabbed her blanket and placed it over the feline faunus.

She turned around to her closet so that she could choose her sleepwear for the night and grab an extra pillow for herself to sleep on the couch. However, before she was able to complete her task, she felt someone from behind her reaching forward to embrace her, a low rumbling sound filling the air as arms enclosed around her waist.

“Blake...?” the blonde asked uncertainly as she turned to confirm who it was. “What’s up?”

No answer. The faunus just continued purring.

“Wait-- where’s your---” her line of vision caught sight of the white shirt that Blake was previously wearing, discarded haphazardly onto the floor space next to bed. Right beside it were her slacks. As if she needed more confirmation, lilac eyes shifted to Blake’s legs and saw just that: bare legs.

“So, I guess you like to sleep in your underwear?” she asked.

The black-haired woman began unbuttoning Yang’s shirt, but was quickly halted. “Whoa there, tiger! You’re not you right now. Let’s just get some sleep.”

The blonde tried to pry Blake’s hands off of her shirt, but was surprised at the death grip she had. When the blonde let go of her hand momentarily, she took this as an opportunity and decided to ignore the buttons. With one swift drag from her oddly sharpened nails, Yang’s shirt suddenly had 8 long runs down the front, which was subsequently ripped off of her body and discarded to the ground.

Yang watched her precious shirt, now ruined, lying sadly on the ground. Unable to process what just happened, she stayed frozen, her vision still on the recently deceased shirt.

The feeling of a warm body cuddling into her jolted her back to reality. Blake purred loudly, a content and relaxed smile on her lips as she embraced the doctor.

“Well, that was a thing,” Yang said to herself. “Now...” She turned her vision to the happy kitten currently nuzzling her and decided that it was time for a certain faunus to go to bed. She swept Blake off of her feet and gathered her in her arms. “Not sure what’s going on, but you need to sleep.”

The doctor could tell her words did not reach the other woman, because all Blake did was stare back at her blankly. After about three seconds or so of silence, she purred again and resumed nuzzling the blonde without a care in the world.

When Yang tried to place her back down onto the bed, she was met with utter refusal. The faunus would not let go of her at all. When she tried to move away, Blake would tighten her grip and pull her back. When Yang tried to ask her what was wrong, she would only shake her hand furiously and look at her with pleading eyes.

Grabbing the flashlight she kept on her nightstand, she clicked it on. Immediately, Blake’s attention shifted to the bright, shiny thing. She moved towards it and batted at it. When she did so, Yang would click it off, then click it back on at a different spot. Blake would notice and move towards the new spot.

“She really is acting like a kitt-- Ohh,” Yang’s brain finally pieced a theory together. “I didn’t know that fauna exhibited behavio-- whoa there!” the blonde clicked the flashlight off quickly so that Blake wouldn’t go flying towards the window. That would not have ended well.

She clicked the light back on to the bed. As expected, Blake quickly hopped to where the light was. As soon as she did so, Yang tried to usher the feline faunus to get to sleep. At first, she seemed very happy to... until she realized that when she was under the covers, it meant that Yang would leave. Her protests came in the form of body clinging and shaking her head incessantly.

“Come on, Blake. Playtime is over. Time for bed.”

Yang tried several more times. Each time was met with the same reaction. When Yang would tuck Blake into bed, she made no move to protest and got under the covers. When Yang would turn away from her, Blake would immediately jump out of bed and grab the doctor by the arm or waist or whatever she could cling to in her reaction time.

After the third or fourth try, Yang realized that as long as she didn’t make any move to leave, Blake would stay where she was. The last time she tried, he ushered the other woman under the blankets and tucked in. However, this time, she made no move to leave. She laid down on the bed next to the faunus.

Happy that the blonde woman has not left her, Blake cuddled into her and purred.

“G’night, kitten.”
